Please help with this polynmial qn ASAP (1 Viewer)

well im not sure how to do a qn like this

(5x^2+3x^3-38x^2+6x)/(x^2+3x)

its because of the fact that if i do it with long didvision the power at the bottom will be higher than the top so im not sure about what to do in this case
please help!

Are u trying to simplify it?

$\frac{5x^2+3x^3-38x^2+6x}{x^2+3x} = \frac{3x^2 - 33x + 6}{x+3} $(Collecting like terms and dividing eveything by x)$

Long divide and u get:

$\frac{3x^2 - 33x + 6}{x+3} = (3x - 33) + \frac{x+3}{105}$

Perhaps the first term should be 5x^4...the terms seem to be in order..

yep, op made typo must be ^4

Answer should be: (x^2 + 3x)(5x^2 - 12x - 2) + 12x..seems weird but think its right
