Hey guys I was just wondering whether your undergrad degree in the combined law program (USYD or UNSW) affects what type of law you specialise in later on (eg family, corporate)?
Would employers tend to favour some undergrad degrees than others?

Nope. If you do say Commerce/Law, there is no one stopping you from specialising in Criminal Law or if you are doing say Crimology/Law and specialising in Commercial Law.

Generally no but some firms might. The degree you are taking can help make you more attractive to the area you are applying for. For e.g. if you are doing science then maybe you might be a more attractive candidate for Energy Resources.

Your first degree doesn't have any effect really. I majored in Ancient history in a BA and work in a corporate law firm.
