try get into UNSW science.
its an easy course- has like a 70s cutoff.
not much competition as say medical or advanced science... so its easier to get hd's in/
u may feel that u woulda like "dumbed" urself down by going to a course with a lower cutoff
but honestly, good luck transferring if u get into med sci, pree much the whole cohort have intentions of getting into med.
also, as far as i know, the med committee ( or any transfer ur wishing to apply for) dont give a crap which course u did first, as long as u get good marks ( preferably d's and hd's) then you should be all gee.

Also one more thing, Can I transfer from a Uni that offers medical science to medicine at another uni?
I was planning on doing medical science at UTS and get good grades and hope to transfer into med at another uni as UTS doesn't offer medicine! Is this possible?

Thank you everyone for their replies thus far! I'm just concerned about the involvement of maths in the medical science adv/science adv! How diffcult is 1A mathematics in Adv med science?

Do Adv Sci or Med Sci Adv at UWS.
Is it possible to get good grades in these courses with limited knowledge in maths! i.e. someone who just did general maths!
I did mathematics and absolutely hated it and failed at it... got in the 60's for HSC :L
So do you still recommend adv medical science?

I heard that both medical science and adv science had some involvement of maths! If its all basic stuff then I'll be fine!
and why do you promote Science Adv over Medical Science Adv?
Isn't medical science strongly related to medicine/dentistry?

yeah, no maths.

"Non-mathematics majors: choose at least one other than Quantitative Thinking appropriate mathematics or statistics unit in your first year"
Whats this getting to?
"at least one mathematics or statistics unit other than Quantitative Thinking or Analysis of Change"
I don't get what they mean, I may sound very stupid! But m new to all this and really stressing it!

Yes, but if I choose Biometry during the autumn session, doesn't maths 1A become the elective for the spring session as there were only two options in the first place!
