Out of the UMAT and GAMSAT tests which is harder as well as the chances of entering into undergraduate medicine course or the graduate entry level medicine course

GAMSAT is more content based and UMAT tests logical thinking and understanding people.
Depending on the person will depend on the difficulty, however from what I have heard you can prepare more for GAMSAT.

GAMSAT is actually very easy since all you need to do is study like you would for any exam. for UMAT, you either get it or don't, practice yields very little.

Would you say that for all cases? Some can improve, others do not. I remember the first time I tried practicing before my first time at the exam and all those times I got some miserable scores but now they have increased a lot.

It is difficult to say which test is harder among the two (UMAT or GAMSAT). If you are an 'early developer', you are likely to do better in UMAT; whereas if you are a 'late developer' you are better off with GAMSAT. By 'early developer', I mean someone who has a 'tiger mom' or someone who goes to a private school for example where they "value add" you a lot more!

i wouldnt call that a comparison, but rather a very one-sided and biased view on why the umat is superior which they spread so they can sell their product (an overpriced umat prep course)

I think each test has its advantages and challenges. The UMAT doesn't have any required academic knowledge - the idea is that people cannot prepare for the test however that is debatable as most students are now opting to prepare by practicing similar question types. The GAMSAT has required knowledge - I believe something like first year uni level in most of the sciences - it also has UMAT style questions in one of the sections and an essay component. I think it is fair to say that the two tests do differ significantly and the type of student you are will determine whether you can excel in one or the other or both. I don't think it is as simple as one is easier/harder than the other.

One of the main differences is the type of course you will be doing. If you want to do undergraduate Medicine then you must sit the UMAT, if you are sitting the GAMSAT then you will be already underway in an undergraduate course of some kind and will be looking at a postgraduate course. I sourced some of my info from this blog site: http://www.umat.net.au/umat-vs-gamsat/ (it claims it is independent). Good luck with your studies!! :)

depends on the person - go hard for both and dont depend on the other.
