Last year was 99.65. Year before was 99.55. Does anyone know what the cut-offs were prior to 2010?

Also, do these cut-offs ever decrease from year to year, or can I expect something higher than 99.65 for this year??

Think before that was around 99.40 or 99.45

Do you guys think an atar of 99.65 will make the cut off?

I'm quite depressed at the moment that I might miss out on my desired course.

If you guys don't get in directly, take the partner degree at UNSW for 1st year and transfer over. With your ATARS I am sure getting around 75-80 in first year isn't hard.

I think it'll be in UNSW's interest to keep it at 99.65. Too high and it'll deter people thinking they won't get in!

I think the Dean is planning to implement a system like Med (adding other selection criteria) sometime soon. It won't happen next year. He is thinking the cut off is way too crazy and a better system is to have some other selection criteria than buffing up the cut off.

Tbh, I'd prefer doing the partner degree at Usyd and then transferring into Law, as USyd internal transfer takes into consideration ATAR + WAM, whereas at UNSW, it's only WAM.

To correct this a little bit, UNSW internal transfer no longer takes into account ATAR correct but this year the cutoff wasn't as high as people expected it was only around 76 WAM which is scraping a distinction. Also at UNSW they guarantee at least 100 places for internal transfers. At USYD there's no guarantee of places for internal transfers, ie. they put all the internal and external applicants into one pool and rank them. So it's actually more beneficial to go to UNSW lodge an internal transfer application while simultaneously applying for external transfer to USYD.

Yeap at UNSW we gurantee at least 100 spots for transfer and the transfer for cut off was lower than what they said. The faculty was saying 80 WAM but I know people with a 76 WAm transferring in
