I think 40-50% ends up with a HSC mark around 80 (tiny bit above or below depending on year and whether you're close to 40% or 50%). This is still a decent mark ATAR-wise for 4U because it scales well.

Having said all this- maybe you should work more on some theory instead of doing papers if you get 40%? Idk- someone else should be able to give better advice than me

Do you know the content and understand the content? If yes proceed to past papers.

If you haven't learnt some of the content, learn it!

Repeat. =)

I could give you a hand if you want just give me a friendly PM.

Me too. I'm so bad at MX2 despite the amount of effort I've put in.

Read solutions, do harder stuff.
Yes. When you do a past paper and you don't understand a question. Read the solutions then attempt a similar question from a textbook/past paper. There is no point in doing another past paper if you don't completely know the content.

at this stage u rote learn the solutions... i.e. learn the processes between each line, etc, etc.

and btw, last year it was 65/120 (i.e. 53%) that aligned to an 85, not w/e RealiseNothing said.

uhh... no... i think the aligning is more in the shape of a bell-curve...

i.e. a low score wouldn't align alot and a high score wouldn't align alot AS COMPARED TO scores near the middle of the bell curve... (correct me if i'm wrong guys)

Dimishing marginal returns for 4u at around 92. So try keep working at it :)

(unless it severely impacts on your study for your other subs. then no)
