For the year 12 2 and 3 unit half yearly, trial HSC and hsc exam, what topics from the year 11 preliminary course appears in the exams?

Up to 30% of what you learnt in Prelim for ext1
20% for 2unit.

For 2U, pretty much everything comes up in one form or another because the HSC is essentially the same, just a little more difficult, and a few extra topics. So all your differentiation, trig, quadratics, etc.
For 3U, parametrics always comes up, so does all your double angle and t formulas, circle geometry, polynomials, perms/combs, angle between two lines, ratios...ok so pretty much everything so just study everything because there is always a chance it will come up.

Dude, it could be anything haha. It could be ANY thirty percent of content from 3u and ANY twenty percent of content from 2u. Sorry there's no shortcuts haha. GOtta know everything

That was what I was saying. However, to OP, it may or may not be exactly 30%/20% for 3/2 unit. It could have 15% for instance.
