Okay, so, if you get a question that's worth fifteen marks, and it has a source, and the question says "refer to this source and your own knowledge" and you don't refer to the source but write a page and a half answering the question, what mark are you looking at?

About 8 out of 15 - The source is essential to use.

No 'if you get a question' you will.

The last part of the Society question will have a source, will be worth 15 marks and will require own knowledge.

You can't be "answering the question" if you're not referring to the source; i.e. you can't rely on your own knowledge.

Assuming what you have written is decent, I would say between 5-7. You would be pushing it to get an 8, I think.

Yeah, our teacher used to say exactly this and that the best they could give if you dont refer to the source is 7.

So ALWAYS, ALWAYS double check you have used it in your answer
