Whats the earliest way to apply for a uni course because I heard there are rounds and each round the minimum ATAR goes up.

Is the fastest just "early round offers"? Which is right after you get your ATAR right?

Someone help a confused fellow pupil

Most people aim for the Main Round.

From the Main Round, that's when (usually) the cut-offs rise due to more demand for lower places.

Early round offers are often restricted to a few degree programs, often at the request of the university.

I would recommend having a good idea of what you're interested in listing for your application early enough in case one of the degree programs on your list is offered.

Main round for most people - just make sure you fill in the online form correctly with correct details. Other than that, there's nothing really to do except do your HSC and wait.

No, main round is mid Jan. The vast majority of offers are made in that round.

Early round offers are made before you even obtain your university results (although for a limited number of courses only and at tier 3 universities such as Southern Cross, CSU etc).

No. You have to apply before the HSC, then you sit the HSC, get your ATAR, and then the offers come in mid-Jan. Unless you're applying for some obscure course or a course with certain obscure requirements (e.g. interview, performance etc. - you will know this if you are interested in those courses), you will be in the main round.

Your school will tell you anyway. Just concentrate on your schoolwork.
