Just want to ask the following:

1. Are you allowed to use the words: Firstly, secondly and thirdly to a question that says discuss

2. Is it a good idea to write your own name as a character in a short story even if the story is true or a made up.

Not sure abut the first question but I wouldn't use your own name in a short story simply because the marker may think you lack creativity.

Just want to ask the following:

2. Is it a good idea to write your own name as a character in a short story even if the story is true or a made up.

1. You can use those words, but if it's an essay, it's not the best way to go and it usually indicates poor structure.

2. It's fine. However, coming up with a different name usually helps your creativity. And there's no real reason to use your real name anyway.
