Let's see...

I guess it WAS all that's cracked up to be, well for me it was anyway.

Was 19 (was always too freaking shy to date in high school, painfully shy so 19 it was!), was with a bunch of friends at a bar watching some battle of the bands deal. Of course, one of the friends happens to be the dude who I was obsessing about for the past 8 months (it's lame to be shy, in the words of Morissey "shyness is nice, shyness will stop you, from doing all the things in life you'd like to"). So anyway, we had been drinking, and it turns out he's just as bad as me. Then we walk outside, he holds my hand and then I be a drunk shit head and go "I really like hanging out with you, you're cool, I love you dude...oh shit I said something weird lololol" , and he sorta mentions something along the lines of "Nah not weird at all.". Everyone comes out of the bar 'cause it's time to head home. He walks me to our car, puts my seatbelt on me, then sits in the seat next to me and kisses me, hugs me, fixes my munted hair for me, says good night and that he'll call me tomorrow. When he's gone and all the girls are in the car, I go apeshit with excitement. Looks like I got the gentleman experience.

10/10, would kiss again. Too bad we aren't together now though xD

nawww no reason for it to be sad! We went on a date afterwards..but uh.. I got 'stolen' away by another guy (who was my best friend, and I always liked him but...difficult situation xD) 2 months later - he found out that we weren't together yet and things were still awkward, so he made his move, I took it - we've been together 5 years next month and we live together too The other guy kept giving me mixed signals...set up a date, but then claimed "he forgot about it" he set it up for after class (we went to tafe together) and I was waiting for him, he walked straight to the station and home, didn't even text me as to what happened and I had to ask him on msn that night if we were meant to have a date that afternoon then got the "I forgot" response. Then asked me out on another date and...nothing happened Some stuff just isn't meant to work out I guess *shrugs* When a door closes, a window opens sorta deal. I still think about him from time to time, and when we bumped into each other two years ago it was slightly awkward, but yeah.

I swear though, if both people know they like each other, and both are shy about it, one of them has to snap out of it and just get it over and done with. I am still wondering what would have been if I had been more forward when I had my chance with the other guy.

I'm by no means the romantic type, but yeah it's burned into my memory I guess though if my first kiss was a shit kiss I wouldn't bother remembering all the finer details xD It's weird because I remember so much of everything that happened on that night, down to the moment when we were in maccas and I was telling my friend to get a purple straw...purple is her favourite colour. People tend to forget things when they're drunk, it's like my memory was amplified xD
