I don't know, but buy those inked pens - like the sharpie pen or artline pen or so...

Used those pens in the exams, didn't get my arm sore as well as writing fast

I still don't get why they give us 2 hours for 3 essays. What is the short time limit meant to do? They should give us more time, so they just people on what they know/writing ability instead of the ability to memorize crap and break your wrist

We all know it's stupid but that's what we must live with. There's no point complaining about it.

maybe 1000 if lucky...
on another note, does being left-handed make u write slower and a little illegibly... ?? :L
not necessarily. i'm a lefty and i can write about 1200 words in 40 min (memorised). but legibility all depends on your own writing style and how fast your writing.

I went 800 in 40 minutes for my impromptu essays (2 out of 4) and 1100 for memorised (2 out of 4). My creative was 1250 words.

I can probably write 1,800 in 45-50 minutes. However, most of my essays for Advanced and Extension English do not exceed 1, 500-600
Though my half yearly Extension 1 Engllish essay was 1, 898 words (1 hour) - it was long, but worthwhile. Received a mark of 24/25 :) My handwriting was messy though.. Thank god the teacher could read it xD

Being left handed doesn't necessarily make you slower, it just makes it somewhat messy depending on what pen you use.
because remember, left handers go over the top of what they've written were the right handers glide smoothly.
if you used some sort of inky pen and tried to glide while writing with left hand = smudgy ink all over the paper, lol

the only pens i can use are Kilometrico and Inkjoy kilometrico and i have to pay attention to avoid smudging

At the end of an essay the side of my hand turns black from all the smudging :p

I wrote 801 words in my half yearly for Hamlet. It was a personal minimum record. I normally write 6 pages or so and that one was 4.5 pages. My 801 words got 13/15 which is decent.

An essay length of 750-1250 words is fine for Advanced per 40 minutes. With in range, quality is more important than quantity. Anything below is too short and requires more quantity. Anything above will often require to be more concise and so more quality.
