Is the problem and here is my working:



The answers say A) is 2122km
so i want to know wtf am i doing wrong?

You say 10:15 - 1:45pm is 4hrs, but isn't it 3.5hrs?

Yes, you wrote 4 hours instead of 3.5 hours. So it'll be 3.5 x 700 = 2450km from the airport. Then it'll be x/sin60 = 2450/sin90. then x = sin60 x 2450 = 2121.76 or rounded to 2122km

The mistake is in the first line. From 10:15->1:45 is only 3.5 hours not 4 hours.
