As title says.

In terms of recommended hours to study per day, how to approach studying for it, good textbooks, the amount of content involved, difficulty of exams, the importance of keeping up with news, current affairs/statistics and whatever else is involved in the subject.
Hopefully, I will use this sub-forum more often!

I'm not doing business studies, but I doubt you would need to keep up with the news, since that's more of an economics thing since it's changing unlike business studies I think.

On a curious note:
In your sig, you seem to have 11 units worth of subjects, what's your extra subject?

- Complete homework when given, and don't leave it to the weekends. This will enable you to do revision and make notes on weekends.
- Before each lesson, flip through the textbook to see what you will be learning next
- You should know the syllabus very well, to the point you know what information fits what dot point
- The exams are not that difficult, you just have to know your information throughout the exam
- Keeping up with news isn't overly important, until you do a case study on a company in yr12 i think
- The best textbook imo is Business Studies in Action

and please use this sub-forum more often, its rotting :(

I found it beneficial to watch news especially with the Qantas industrial action which happened recently.

+1 Exactly. You need to be up to date, so in your response you can show the marker that you are aware of current issues. Esp. with case studies, as they business may implement new strategies etc. Like, with OH&S changing to WHS. If we didn't know about that, and wrote OH&S in our response, the marker won't be very 'happy'.

I think linking business studies with current events and news will give you much better knowledge and content to write about in your essays/business case studies/etc... but even without that incentive, it makes learning about the material a lot more interesting and feel a lot more relevant if you do this.

Get a good idea about a case study which you can use for the HSC.

Preparation is key.
