Arts at UNSW or Commerce to UWS? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

With my atar i can either get into arts at unsw or commerce (which i want to do) at uws either way i was thinking about transferring to unsw although transferring through arts is easier im kinda afarid taht i might do bad in the first year and wouldntt be able o transfer what are your thoughs should i go to uws or arts?

Depends what subjects you do. You'll be doing Commerce subjects, so... yeah.

You need a Distinction average (75 average mark or higher) to transfer.

I did very little work for both my Finance courses last semester and I got 72 and 75, one credit, one distinction.

Do the work, even at the bare minimum, and you'll do pretty well.


Put in tons of work and you'll be on a high distinction average - like for my maths courses, I'm on an HD average.

I've seen James Ruse people slump to mediocrity and settle for final marks of 60-odd.

Not everyone is lazy, but I'd wager a good proportion are. Because no one tells you to study at uni, it's all about finding your self-motivation.

If i chose the uws option and wanted to transfer to unsw later do you know what i'll need???
