That's kind of like me, except I cut out parts of lined paper, write my notes on it and stick it over the area I didn't like.Plus more paper = more maths.

Haha! I thought I was the only one. Nice to know that I'm not the only one who does that : )

I've tried hand-written and my own writing turns me off studying. I end up ripping the page(s) out and attempting to write decently, it doesn't happen for me. So, I'm typing mine, I absolutely adore colour coding my notes according to relevance and being able re-edit/add on/off.
I save paper too : D

Lol I have some pages of physics and There is alot of scribbling out which right now makes me want to rip out the pages and start again

You drown your page with liquid paper, I was watching indirectly when I was doing probability ^_^.

I prefer handwriting. Means I can draw easily, and it's a lot better with maths :D

Yeah it is, but writing is mostly better for memorising but could become really ugly and annoying to edit =.=

you dont write notes, when it comes time to summarise, you make handwritten mini summaries from the summaries (notes)

for me - i didnt even formulate my own notes.. grabed them off BOS or a friend then memorised them by continually revising them and vocalising them out loud.

Vocalisation was the most effective method of memorisation for me, however, for you it could be different.
+1 to vocalising them. I find that more than ANYTHING, explaining the notes to myself helps to secure them in my memory and also helps me to understand them better.

But more on topic, I type mine, and will probably hand-write very short summaries as HSC study.

I just write up all my notes because I really condense mine and the whole topic 1+2 of economics is 8 pages for me.

Just as long as you understand your notes, it doesn't matter.

I guess it all just depends on the person
But im very anal about my notes. They have to enjoy looking at them for me to be able to study off of. So I type them and using different shades of one colour scheme and the same formatting throughout.
I then both visualise and vocalise to remember.

Also how far in advanced of assessments do you guys make notes?

There are pros to both, on the whole I find typing better so you can edit and format easily. But writing is important skill to keep up, so you should handwrite your essays, practice Q's and maybe even parts of your notes.

DO NOT WRITE YOUR NOTES - they are already made for you in the resources section!! Making notes is a very weak form of study and will have very little memory retention, head straight into the deep end of past HSC questions.
