We use WAM at UNSW, and it's the average of your marks. So if you got 90, 85, 80 and 75 as your marks for your four subjects, your WAM is 82.50.My ATAR was 99.05 and I hope to transfer into law from UNSW Commerce. So what marks would i need to be getting and how much work do I need to put in compared to the HSC?
So it's not strictly 100 and they take any amount of people that meet this requirement?well, you need 70 wam to transfer, theres no fixed places, everyone who meets the transfer requirements will get it
yesSo it's not strictly 100 and they take any amount of people that meet this requirement?
Yeah, it is impossible.90 WAM in Law is impossible, I would think.
depends on subjects.no
99.95 atar is probably as difficult as a 90 wam
+1 and at unsw as welldepends on subjects.
99.95 ATAR>>90WAM if you do adv maths at usyd, i would think.
hmm ok, so compared to the HSC how much work is required to achieve this?My friend got a 2010 ATAR of 99.20. He did Commerce at UNSW and had a WAM of 74 and got offered an internal transfer into Combined Law for 2012.
