The only 89 I got was my ATAR itself... SO CLOSE YET SO FAR!

As bad as you must feel, imagine getting it at my school. See, because we are not very smart, the school offers $500 for every band 6 and $1000 for getting an ATAR over 90. So getting straigh 89's at my school for five subjects is missing out on $2500. Then you would be pretty devastated.

Wow, that's a pretty good incentive. But I reckon getting straight 89s (in certain subjects) will get you over 90, so you should get $1000.

Guys quit complaining, just look at my story:

Chem-91, Adv eng-90 Mx1-90

Phys 89 Mx2 89...

Ok so that was missing out allrounders list, wasnt that devo but..

My dream atar has been 98, thats all i wanted for two years!!

Especially cause there is this high achievers assembly at my school where only people who got 98+ attend and receive awards.

I Wake up on 15 December to see in front of my face:

NSW ATAR-97.95

Just round up - if I were you I'd consider it goal achieved and many people would probably agree.

It's not that he feels he didn't achieve it, but it just burns him that he missed out by 0.05 and cant go to the assembly thing. I think that's what he means.
