hush, looks like someone didn't get LED lights Nah but that version was without LED lights in-case you haven't notice. btw I couldn't care less what a girl thought of it, for all I know they might think it's neat. + It will be on the ground so not likely to be a viewpoint any ways.also your case is pretty gay with the LED lights and shit
if you ever bring a girl into your room she'll think you're a massive nerd
- It is 8 GB RAM.I'd go at least 6 if not 8 gig ram but that's just me. Rest looks good.
Maybe spinpoint f3 hard drive too.
I would get G.Skill ripjaws or something better with a heatsink

I did some searching around for the HDD, seems like WD black 1TB is around $200 now, I guess it's because the WD factory got screwed a couple of months ago due to floods or something, hence less supply = higher price, just seems like bad luck. But I did get mine for about $120.

Get an SSD, and then also get a large yet cheap drive it'll cost you an extra 100-200 but it'll be so worth it. (120gb+ recommended)
The G.skill had plastic covering the heat sinks. : Olololol.oollolool ram heatsinks are a marketing gimmick
since you're getting sandy bridge your first priority should be making sure the ram operates at 1.5V instead of 1.6, 1.65 etc.
Yep looking into it now, seems like the faster choice. with 3 years warranty. My mate got a seagate barracuda - any good? Also does the case come with HDD access indicator?get a samsung spinpoint f3
faster and quieter than wd black
Don't really want two internal HDDs...it would mean I need to keep one as primary and one as secondary? RAID would allow both to be used simultaneously right? and be seen as 1 disc by the OS?.1. bitches love LEDs
2. u should get 2 hard drives SSD + HDD
3. most people need some drive that you can shove disks in
They were the same pricebuy whichever one is cheaper
I install a lot of games which will be > 120 GB. I do not know how the D drive will be used? Would I be able to install games on the D drive, so the C drive can access files from the D drive?Just have your SSD (if you get one) as C drive and HDD as D drive, it's not that hard to set up.
RAID isn't needed, too much effort (srs)
Due to the malaysia flood, the hard drive prices have increasedhaha wtf $165 for a WD black
a year ago i bought a 1TB spinpoint f3 (faster than WD black) for $70
My new rig
So I'm looking at getting these parts
CPU: core i7 2600k @ 3.4GHz /8MB cache - $340
Mobo: Gigabyte: GA-Z68XP - UD3 - $159
RAM: Kingston 4GB x 2 @ 1600MHz - $65
GPU: Gigabyte GF Nvidia GTX 570 1280MB - $400
HDD: 1 TB WD black edition SATA 3 - $165
PSU: 750w Cosair Modular TX series - $180
DVD drive: 22xSamsung Dual-Layer DVDRW - $30
Case: Cooler master HAF RC-912 - $120
Fans: 120mm case fans x 3 (1 by default) - $15 each (receiving 2 for free)
Total: $1 459 (without monitor)
Good deal yeah...
Should I get a 24" LED monitor for ~$180? is that too big? also are gaming mouses worth it? for ~$70
I wanted to, but it's only 120 GB...dunno if it's worth it.Due to the malaysia flood, the hard drive prices have increased
CPU: 2500k if it's purely for gaming
Mobo: Asrock extreme 3 z68 is pretty good and cheaper
ram: ripjaws 8gb DDR3. 1333 mhz is cheaper but 1600mhz is the same price.
GPU: good
HDD: good
PSU: strider 750w is cheaper
ODD: there's one which is 19.50 in umart
case: ur choice
fan: ur choice.
I just ordered 24" LCD for $149 on umart. Didn't get it yet but I think it's the perfect size for gaming. For gaming mouse I went with g400 logitech. But there are better ones.
Aren't you considering an SSD ??
ohk so what's a good SSD brand for 120 GB?you should get an SSD, put your OS and programs you use often, and the games you play most (only those) on the SSD, rest throw it on the HDD, and yes you can access both easily.
These 3 are good:ohk so what's a good SSD brand for 120 GB?
How about OCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD SATA3?These 3 are good:

Yeah I rang up my local computer store, they said they had a cosair 120 GB SSD for $210 so I just ordered that. They also said the SpinPoint F3 is slower than the WD black as it is SATA II only and that they have no stock left. Please confirm?? are seagate barracuda 1 TB drives better than WD blacks?vertex 2 is pretty old, I wouldn't get it, and OCZ isn't fully reliable atm, they're having issues, depending on where you're getting it from, just find the cheapest out of those 2 (cheapest per GB) and get that... if you get it from PCCG, then the Corsair Force Series 3 is the cheapest ($1.66/GB + shipping).
