I am thinking of buying a maths textbook for next year...doing 3U
My two options are: Cambridge 3U http://www.fishpond.com.au/Books/Ca...+Understanding+Year+113+Unit+Preliminary.html.

If anyone has used either of those before, do you think they are good? Also, if you have used any other really good textbooks in the past, please tell :)

I would not recommend the Accelerated Maths Learning book.

It only goes through the basics of each topic and there are much better books out there.

Cambridge 3U is a good textbook (both the year 11 and 12 editions) but i much prefer Fitzpatrick 3U. I found the explanations in the book quite thorough but again, i personally prefer Fitzpatrick. The Cambridge books do have nice questions but the difficulty and style of some questions are not similar to exam questions.

Fitzpatrick questions seem to be the more examinable questions to me and they can get quite difficult. If you're planning to get Fitzpatrick, note that there is a 2U book and the 3U book.

If you want to buy these textbooks, post in the Buying section of the forum as i'm sure many post-HSCers will be happy to rid of their books and sell to you at cheap prices.
