yes, the whole concept of the wealth redistribution package is absurd...
so some people will pay tax..and because they are poorer, they will get government subsidy....which may actually put more money into their pockets than what they had initially paid for the tax.
so what the fuck is the point of the tax if people are going to end up with MORE money in their pockets?
Australian political logics.

no, i think the entire carbon tax is a load of shit, it serves no purpose whatsoever. to minimise our already low 1% carbon emissions by charging people shiloads of money for the carbon they emit isnt going to fix anything. what i hate about the Labor government is how they state that the cost of living will not go up significantly...they must be out of their minds...manufacturers who are some of the worst polluters will not want to pay the tax...the tax will be imposed on the consumers who will just have to bare the higher prices that they are being charged for the same products that they were purchasing before hand for a relatively lower price..
everything is going to go up in price, food, clothing, electricity...everything. the gillard government is just horrible. its quite clear that they dont have the nation's public interests at heart.

See below.

especially Gillard. She's only went through with the carbon tax so the Greens would continue supporting her so she could remain PM. Selfish motives to stay in power. She's going to get smashed next election. Smashed like the hussy she is.

/stating the obvious.

Kevin Rudd will be reinstated as rightful prime minister before the next election though, in which he'll smash Tony Abbott.

Kinda. Personally I think right wing governments do have a nations best interests at heart, seeing as they are nationalists.

Any government, right, left, middle, whatever has the nations best interests at heart.

so very very true..without the greens support, she wouldve been out of there long ago...long long ago...she probably wouldnt have even won the election.
gillard knows that she is going down next election, thats why shes trying to implement the tax now...and why she is trying to place a tax on miners too (very watered down version of what k ruddy had in mind before hand..)
gillard, gillard, gillard...your long nose says it all. Liar.

Possibly the only thing you have said since I've come here that I agree with.

maybe, im not too sure about this..k rudd's had his days of glory, i personally dont think that he will get re-elected as pm. people want change...and after Labor's ugly scheme, i doubt the people will have the trust that they used to have for Labor party.
