I swear, they're going to ask definition questions like:
- Is a square a rectangle
- The proper definition of an inverse function
- Why is newton's method not favourable in this condition?

Crap like that which aren't really asked in normal questions

BOS bunch of lazy asses.

They've set sample questions which do require a bit of working out, instead of pure rote learning: http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabus_hsc/pdf_doc/maths-ext-1-2-support-assess-2012.pdf

It's mathematical, as opposed to theoretical.

But still, 11-14 is short answer (ex1)? Wth? What are they going to be on? They're going to be much different than pre-2012. I'm suspecting it'll be harder.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "short answer". It will essentially be the same as what we have now (pre-2012). I highly doubt they will be any different from existing papers; it's just the first section which is different.

Lol, I thought it said short answers next to 11-14. Anyway, I guess question 11= question 4 in a pre-2012 paper
