They asked the role of Themistocles in 2009, its been asked really often so i dont really think theyll do that. I think Miltiades/Leonidas/Pausanias is more likely if they do ask us a personality

Pompeii and Herculaneum extended response question will hopefully be on something like Conservation techniques?? Like perspex over glass, it becoming a UNESCO site, the Italian legislation, like what has been done recently for conservation?

Oh. Miltiades, Leonias and Pausanias would be good also!! I have a generic essay on them!!

What are the possible questions they could ask for Delian League? Other then formation and transformation into the Athenian empire. Role of Cimon and Aristides? Democracy was already done last year :!!

Not too sure because i usually study and prepare myself for every dot point in section 1 and section 3, and only learn athenian imperialism from s2. Delian league just pisses me off. But if i recall, wasnt last years question about athenian imperialism and not democratic developments?

My teacher always emphasises the fact that Ethics hasn't yet been asked as the extended response question in P+H, and how some dot points have already been asked twice. I'd love an Ethics question, lots to write about and not a lot to remember, most of it is pure knowledge with some reference to P+H. Though I'd prefer a conservation question over an archaeologist one! - knowing my luck though, it's going to be just that.

For Sparta it would be extremely awesome if there was a question on Women, or the kings / government. Would be absolutely brilliant. I don't want any funny ones on religion or cultural life - ugh. Please be nice oh Spartan exam writer peeps.

Rome oh I'd like anything to do with Civil War or the First Triumvirate - please oh please don't have a question on the second triumvirate - just ugh, no!

Hatshepsut, I'm hoping it's on her foreign policy, or changing representations from Queen to King, would be awesome. n_n

Let's all just pray that the exam writers are really nice to us! n_n

I'm thinking an Ethics question for P+H, but knowing my luck it'll be something else.

For Sparta, something on Lycurgus??? 12 marker on the Helots???

For Tiberius Gracchus, it couldn't possibly ask something about the agrarian bill could it? Surely not? I love my personality study.

Predictions:
A personality Question, Probably Miltiades/ Cimon/ Pausanius etc something a little bit different.
Possibly something on Ionian revolt and 490 BC for Miltiades?

all I know is it won't be as easy as last year!

Also Pompeii and Herculaneum either Ethical Issues of Human remains or 19th and 20th Century Archeologists, Something about the Forum, possibly Water and Sanitation yeah um

Xerxes : Religious Policy, Administration or Legacy and Impact on his time.
and
Sparta: Woman, Everyday life / Leisure activities, Role of Spartan Army

For the Augustus Extended Response, I predict that it will be on either his
- Problems of succession (My teachers prediction)
- Something involving his reforms (they appear quite a lot actually) or
- Development of his principate/ settlements of 27bc and 23bc.

Like others I believe that P & H will be on ethical issues.

Other topics...I honestly have no idea.

12 Marker on Helots....oh please don't scare me. D:

I did a past paper that was something like a 10 mark question on Spartan funerary customs .... that was a toughie, and one I needed to have books near to completely answer. Another one was a 12 marker on the role of literature and writing in Spartan society, yup that was an annoying one.

I have to keep preparing for the worst! Sparta is by far my favourite topic and I really don't want to screw it up, but that could ask anything. D:

I haven't even mentioned the questions on geography and economic exchange
I think there may be something on the role of the Spartan army, haven't had that for a while.

there tend to be five questions that get cycled through a lot, and my teacher says tht odds are we will get one of these.

1 explain/assess the contribution of themistocles (very likely)
2 explain the reasons for greeks victory in the second persian war (this was last year, dont bet on it)
3 explain the changing relationship between athens and its allies (I think this one is likely to come up)
4 explain the roles/contribution of cimon and aristides (in two years ago, unlikely)
5 explain the transition from delian league to athenian empire (also likely)

I hope that there is't a question on sparta, or I'll be stuffed :(

If anyone is a believer I used my tarot cards along with about 15 past papers to try and guess what the question (I predicted the trial question accuratly, I did badly but I still got it!) so im willing to hedge my best bet on changing relationships.

P+H - I'm predicting its conservation, with House of Gladiators as the source OR ethics, since it's never been asked

Sparta - Role of the army as the extended 10-12 marker, or Religion. Also maybe questions on government and agoge

Hatshepsut - 10 marker prediction is role of officials and nobles, including the Amun priesthood (or even the relationship with Thut III). Also, 15 marker might be Ancient and Modern interpretations since it's never been asked, but i'm hoping its foreign policy or building program

Augustus - General questions on rise to power, or how the principate was formed, and one on the army.

I'm actually pretty confident. Can't wait for Thursday! Get it over and done with!
