English: Agree it will be an image stimulus for creative, wont specify text type. Section 3 WILL be an essay. Section 1 will be in colour (last year was the first time english has been in colour, costs a fuck load more $$) so ffs talk about colour in your answers.

Hoping for three essays in the modules but i wouldn't count on it.
I think that the colour will be for the stimulus not for section one like last year.
Yes, section 3 is a definitely essay (hopefully)
Yeah, I can feel a module B speech in my bones for Standard, but I'm not gonna prepare for a speech. Lol

Bio: big marker on infectious disease, koch's postulates etc
Hope so. I get 100% for Search for Better Health.

How hard do you think this year's MX1 be? I think it will be mild with Q7 containing Binomial Theorem and/or Projectile Motion. I think P&C/Probability will be in Q5 and Applications of Calculus will be in Q6. Q1-4 will be very typical - assorted.

Overall, I think it will be like a box of chocolates, the good ones will all be finished while the bad ones will be left for last.

Modern History - Conflict in Europe ~ D'day and the liberation of France as one of the option questions.

For world war one - could be social + economic effects on the home front. The reliability/usefulness question will probably be on something to do with the end of the war - German collapse or something. Maybe even home front issues again.

if q7 is binomials + something random and projectiles gets moved to q6, q5 is p&c, q1-4 is anything (max 2 curves to sketch)... i'll be laughing to myself during reading time

very very unlikely - but if they do so it will probably be a speech!
actually i reckon it's pretty likely

they used to do one every year... in fact they used to have weird things like "compose a conversation"

meh they probs realised it was pretty stupid... but then again there were no other text types last year so it's even more likely we'll get one this year... or really shitty questions

yeah if there's another text type, 90% chance it's a speech so not much to change except your intro/concl + a few phrases here and there

i think the reason they stopped doing that for english was because they want to test peoples analytical skills rather than their creative skills, thats what my english teacher said anyway

They wrote the HSC months before those papers were done/came out. It is probably a very realistic option as they tried it a few years back but nobody went well in young offenders back then according to my teacher/hsc marker.

EDIT: and i imagine international crime would be way to small to drag a 15 marker out of.
wow so your teacher did tell you they wrote the HSC ages before?
but given they will ask young offenders, I'll probs just remember the legislation and write a whole lot of bullshit on the day, since a lot of it is pretty much common sense. :L

I still believe that sentencing and punishment, as well as the criminal trial process seems like a better option, since they haven't touched on it either in the specimen paper or the trial papers.

what do you think they will ask for the option topics? :O

My school made us sit for 2 sets of trials including cssa and independent. The independent one had the criminal trial in it which i love. However if theyve had them written beforehand, then it is likely for it to come up again :) otherwise, im not sure if they look at trial papers and other independent ones to write the exam. However itll most likely be sentencing and punishment, investigation process or criminal trial. For options, def at least one will be a themes and challenge q. E.g for independent. . They gave compliance/non compliance for both of the options im doing... Family and world order.
