did about 70 for 3u hsc last year, atm doing 3 a day, 1 4u 1 phys 1 chem. probably end up with 50x 4u, 30x phys 30x chem
That's insane. And absolutely unnecessary. I bet you don't answer all the questions properly.

Curious and off topic, what was your atar/uai?
99.85, as 4025808 said.

When you do your past papers, do you do it under exam conditions or just pick the questions that you think are hard? For example, for maths, do you go straight to question 6/7 for 3 unit or do the entire test under exam conditions? Because it's a time consuming doing 2-3 hours exams for just 1 paper when you can just do the questions that you think are hard. Or should you combine these two methods?
Do every single question, under exam conditions. If you just skip the 'easy' questions, you forget them, and lose easy marks. I'd rather lose 1-2 marks from a 7 marker I didn't 100% know the answer to, rather than getting 0s and 1s out of 2 for questions that were relatively easy, but I just stupidly forgot certain things. [Yeah, that sentence was a really weirdly worded sentence - sue me]

Its not that insane? I write about 4x A4 pages back to back and I do everything. Takes about 2.5hrs per test, I have nothing else to do since I revised everything a while ago. Plus, I know people who do more :S

Doing that many past papers doesn't actually help you - it begins to drag down upon you. There are only so many tricks, especially in 3U, where there are even less tricks than 4U. :)

But yeah, you appear to be an accelerant...so...yeah, 3 papers a day for 3U seems about right.

For MX1 and MX2 I plan to do Ruse papers from 1992 to 2011 plus the last 5 years of hsc papers. Physics and Chem ruse 2000 to 2011 and the last 10 years of hsc papers.

Why so much Ruse? I think going back to 1992 is a bit too much, I'd recommend last 10 years of HSC better, its probably as close you can get to the real thing. Also beware of anything not in the syllabus for physics and chemistry before 2003.

Yeah I agree it doesn't all help that much, its just exposure to all sort of questions. I've made plenty of notes so at this point I can't figure out what else to do and I don't want to be lying around and doing nothing lol. And yeah I am an accelerant, did it with Official.

I write out 1 english essay a day and do 1 past paper (rotating about AOS, Mod A,B,C and Mx2, Physics, Chem, Eco). I reckon it's enough. This zhiying - 3 papers a day - that's way too much!

I am not a 99.95er but I did HSC Geog, HSC Adv English and HSC Chem last year. For Chemistry I did probably 6 or 7 past papers (not necessarily under time pressure) plus two or three Catholic trial papers. I got a Band 6. For Geography, if it's of any interest, I did around 3 past papers, plus half yearly and trial exam at school (Band 6). I was a band 5 in English (I am a slow writer though) and I had done about six past papers, plus half yearly and trial at school :)

They obviously do them over the course of the year, not just after term 3.
