I was awarded the UNSW AAA scholarship this year and was wondering if HSC plus bonus points can be combined with the AAA bonus points?

(eg: im entitled to 2 HSC plus points and 5 AAA points = 7 ?? )

Nope, it's 5 bonus points maximum, iirc.

Sounds like how I got in. "So Shadowdude, you're one of the top students in the grade - do you want to go to UNSW?" "Yes" "YOU WIN THE AAA!!!!"

What are you planning to do there?

I've had my head around science/commerce most of the year but this might make me more inclined to look at some things i didn't consider before. perhaps commerce (international) or commerce/law :)

approve?

There are some restrictions. I think Law is one of them. Medicine is definitely one of them.

The points count for any course except for med. Could do law with 95 (even i think its a bit unfair haha)

You can get into Law at UNSW with 92.60 (2 EAS Points + 5 AAA Points).

Law, optometry, medical science and other health sciences are not restricted.
lol, i love how some unis just inflate all the atar requirements only to give bonus points to everyone...so technically speaking someone who goes to a stupid school and gets an atar of 95 with AAA can get in whereas someone who gets say 99.4 at a school like ruse will miss out

Yeah but someone with 99.4 at a school like Ruse will obviously have bonus points due to their HSC results and will get in anyway. Your point?

Like, I went to a rank 580 school or so - and I could get in either from my 5 HSC plus points (I think that's what it's called?) OR my 5 AAA points.
