HSC
2011
English Adv.: 15/70
Maths 3U: 44/57
Maths 4U: 35/40
Physics: 14/40
Chemistry: 25/30

School HSC Rank for 2009: 62
School HSC Rank for 2010: 160
Estimated School HSC Rank for 2011: 120

I know they aren't too good, but is it still possible to get into an 80's range (enough for UNSW's FEAS scheme)? Is it realistically possible?

Ofc it is possible to get into the 80's, externals are 50%

I reakon 78-83. It is possible to get 80+, especially if your school is ranked higher this year (my estimate is based on the 2010 ranking)

Trial marks:

Eng. Adv.: 50%
3u: 48%
4u: 26.5%
Phys: 47.5%
Chem: 36%

Pretty bad, those marks knocked me out of top 10 for English and Physics, and solidified my already bad maths and chemistry ranks.

Yeah but, just by looking from the ranks, if I were to continue with similar marks into the HSC, that wouldn't go to well. And I'd like to know, how much of a difference I could make, say, if I worked "hard", or I spent from now to the HSC eating, sleeping, and studying.

If you can make your Maths better, it will boost up your ATAR significantly. You'll have a realistic chance of applying for FEAS. The cutoff for that is 81.00-91.00, if I remember correctly.

After seeing those trial marks, I'd say 74-78. It is unlikely that you will get 80+, but its not impossible considering that the HSC is worth 50%.

That is on the assumption I do the HSC with similar performance to the trials, right?
I think you will do slightly worse if you repeat those trial marks. I primarily used your ranks for my estimate but I also factored in trial marks.
