ATAR Estimates Please (1 Viewer)

Hey all. My friends and I would like to know our ATAR estimates. The following ranks are of guess-work only, because the teachers are not telling us our ranks until later on in the term. School rank is 123. Cohort is quite strong this year, so should rise to top 100s.

Friend 1:

SOR I: 1/8
IPT: 1/8
English Adv: =1/45
2U Maths: 16/63
3U Maths: 18/32
Economics: 4/23

Edit: Friend 1 asked what his ATAR would be if his maths rank hypothetically moved to 5th?

English Adv: 12/45
3U Maths: 10/32
4U Maths: 10/12
Economics: 5/23
Physics: 5/23

Me:

Legal: 3/15
English Adv: 5-7/45

Friend 1: I reakon 93-96, but there ATAR will mainly be determined by their performance on the externals as they are coming first in 3 subjects. Also helping this person is the fact that they have 12 units. I think two units from either MX1 or 2u maths wont count.

Friend 2: 92-95, its hard to tell which units wont count for them.

You: 94-96, again its hard to tell which units wont count for you.

Friend 1: Anywhere from ~91-96, by topping three subjects their performance is based largely on the external examinations. Plus, 12 units is handy.

Friend 2: ~90, solid ranks but in order to get the 95+ kind of ATAR, English/3u/4u HAS to be higher. However, that is a ballpark figure.

You: ~94, solid overall ranks, should earn you a decent ATAR. Ensure to kill the externals for all of your subjects and you may see 96+.

But one thing I am concerned about is my 10 units that count towards my ATAR. What are the chances that 1 of my maths unit (either 3U or 4U) not counting if I did equally well among all of my subjects externally?

At the moment, its too hard to tell exactly what wont count. Can you post some trial marks, maybe that will give us a better idea?

These marks aren't too glamorous.
Eng 2U (independent): 80%
EE1 (independent maybe?): 84%
Economics (mixture of papers): 72%
Legal Studies (independent): 80%
3U (mixed?): 68%
4U (mixture of papers): 44%
Our maths department sets harder exams when compared to the average school.

I reakon four unit. However, in saying that I'm really not sure, I think realistically 3u, 4u, legal and economics all have a good chance of not counting.

Hm okay. Thanks for that though. Just have to make sure I gun (or attempt to) every subject in the externals.
