q4 was a calculation question, regarding ethylene being reacted with bromine. Do you remember what your answer was?
I'm preety sure you had to work out which one was not in excess then do molar ratio.s
Another question was what was the geiger counter used for? What is the answer....? There was no simple - detecting radiation
Also do you remember the question regarding the adding of HCl to BaOH, and the pH of the resultant solution. Do you remember your answer?

What was C for the geiger counter question - wasn't that like treating cancerous patients? How could a geiger counter treat cancerous patients?
And the third one I calculated my answer e.g. found the no. mols of each, found the excess, then found the conc.. and my answer wasn't on the list, ended up just doing the closest one which was A

the bromine one was because of the uv light. which acts as a catalyst for the alkane to react with the bromine water
the geiger counter was for the detection of cracks in metal, i think, cos you use cobalt-60 to detect cracks in metal.

oh yeah fuck it was D. It deffs wasn't A, B or C coz they didn't make sense. I just forgot which was which.

Umm it's got a double covalent and a single co ordinate covalent (oxygens)

Before my half yearlies all i did was notes and i went bad. Before these trials i did alot of past papers and it worked wonders!

I found it quite challenging..
What was your answer for the HCl being added to BaOH and the resulting pH of the solution.
Also what was the answer of what is the use of the Geiger counter.
And just a checking thing: in MCs there was a question comparing sulfuric acid and HCl - my answer was they have the same H+ and the same pH. Is that what you got?
