I hate when they mix in letters that aren't in english :(
I can't write them properly and that's how I usually make silly mistakes in topics like polynomials. At the beginning of a question, can we write something like:

let alpha= x, beta= y etc etc
and then do the question without some foreign alphabet?
Let the roots be and . and are conventional though.

I still don't know how to draw the one that looks like an incomplete eight- forgot what it was called and I get it confused all the time with the letter 8 and it screws me up :(

I once did that. I got a handwriting year 5 textbook out and practiced my alphas and betas. I am pretty sure you can. and are only arbitrary. I'll be off now, time to write an English essay.

Lowercase Delta?
We better go and tell wikipedia that pow changed delta to deta.

There's no easy way, is there? :p

You know for poly how they have that sum and difference etc etc. Instead of greek letters, can we just use normal ones?

If you really want to make a statement and let "..." be the roots. They won't mark you down.
