This expo was so boring and useless.. I learned nothing.

All I took was bunch of booklets that I won't even read. And I was making fun of the shit unis and teasing my dumb friends that they'll end up in University of Woolongong and University of Otago. LOL

WTF, if I saw a guy with a Yoshi hat, I'd bow down to him.
Zomg, I danced at the AIM stand for half an hour. Twas fun.
The expo 2 weeks ago was way better. They had more pens whereas this one was like 'crap we've run out of shit'.

Did anyone else get a shaver in there NRMA bag?

I went today, the lectures were ehhhh not the best at all. its just set up with tents just like any other convention. I just took a shitload of brochures from what interested me. The Macqaurie Uni's brochures are fucking stupid because they don't have 2011 ATAR cut offs, just last years. I was really surprised/angry that the UTS business atar remained the same, thought it might have dropped even just a little.
What degrees are you interested in applying for?

2011 cutoffs aren't determined before your offers are made.

uhm i've got a general idea of what i want to do. UTS and MacQ are looking like the best choices, and Notre Dame and ACU are my back ups if worst comes to worst. I was thinking about:

UTS -
B of Business / B of Arts in International Studies (95)
B of Buisness (92)
B of Science / B of Arts in International Studies (74 :)
B of Global Studies (88.80)

MacQ -
B of Commerce (83.6)
B of Commerce / B of Arts (83.6)
B of Arts (75.05)
B of Teaching (primary or secondary / B of Arts (78)

USYD -
B of Liberal arts and science (75, a massive bullshit course, but its only if i don't get into other courses)

Notre Dame - Based on individual subject marks, interview and recommendations
B of Commerce / B of Arts
B of Arts

Doing B of Arts would be my second choice, so I'm able to transfer after 1st year. I really want to do the UTS courses, but i really don't think I'm going to get anywhere near the ATAR's they require.
I'd probably do B of Science / B of Arts in International Studies at UTS but the 1st year subjects seem quite difficult for me, seeing as i haven't done any science for a while. But i could transfer after the 1st year for that as well. Also, the only thing I'm 100% certain about is wanting to live/work overseas, I'm just having alot of trouble deciding on what field would guarantee me a job in another country, Commerce and Teaching seem the most likely ones, but i don't have a passion for either.

I thought the ATAR always works one year behind? E.g. if you are applying for 2012 degrees, there is no 2011 ATAR until this year's applications are put in, therefore you have to rely on the 2010 ATAR results to gauge which degrees you want to apply for. At least this was the case when I applied?

Also found the 2011 ATAR for Mq here: http://www.futurestudent.mq.edu.au/...out/choosing_a_course/2011_degrees_and_atars/

Went with my friends on Saturday, the school gave us free tickets as well. :) It was very valuable.....both of us end up sleighing around a bag full of info books from uni's all across Australia.
A bit late lol
