When people tell you to do lots of past papers under exam conditions, what i don't get is how you do it when you havn't done like a few topics in those past papers. Like, what if a school chooses the topics they go through, different to other schools. How would you do the past papers then? :S

There are past paper books by sorted by topic. Usually people do those or they can finish the course and do the other ones.

Any book store that sells secondary high school books. Try your local book store. I would suggest you focus collecting resources before starting Year 11.

Be cheap like me; go through -this- site (censored by boredofstudies, I figured) and download past papers (Independent, CSSA, various schools) and highlight questions that refer to that topic and do them.

Edit: Since when was censorship enforced on this site, sigh.

Takes too long, Big bang should get them second hand or give up Maccas or movies for a month.

Dymocks does not have them? I would find that unbelievable.

For Mathematics, go and try to find the Success One books for past HSC exams with solutions or the Phoenix ones that are sorted by topic.

Not sure if I know such Preliminary past paper books. I don't think there are much. I could send you heaps of past papers and you could print them out as you wish.

Yes please. Can you send it trough private message? Thanks!
Actually I don't think past paper books are necessary in Preliminary, just use normal past papers, print them out. The point of past paper books aside from practice is to introduce the HSC format of the test examination along with the solutions.

also you should ask for the past papers of your school from your teacher if he/she doesn't give them out

That is true. Our school has tonnes of books lying around that others don't use. So it would be worth while to "borrow" some for a "little while". Our books are stored inside a cabinet just outside our maths room. It is always unlocked so people generally take some books and past Catholic papers.

after all, it's a preliminary assessment of YOUR school, so you should find past papers given by your teacher quite relevant
