JUDGEMENT DAY IS ACTUALLY OCTOBER 21

The man who warned Judgement Day would come at the weekend says his prophecy was off by five months and will in fact come on October 21.

The independent Christian radio host Harold Camping emerged for the first time since the 'Rapture' he predicted to occur on May 21.

Mr Camping told the San Francisco Chronicle he was "flabbergasted" that the world did not end on Saturday and had been taking refuge in a motel with his wife.

"I'm looking for answers," he said.

"Now I have nothing else to say.”

Warnings of Judgement Day by the preacher appeared premature on Saturday despite sending some people into hiding or rushing to repent, as others partied to savour their time on Earth.

Mr Camping's prophecy insisted the so-called ‘Rapture’ will begin with powerful earthquakes at 6pm local time in each of the world's regions, after which the good would be transported to heaven.

According to the 89-year-old and his religious broadcasting network Family Radio, the not-so-good would suffer hell on earth until October 21, when God will pull the plug on the planet once and for all.
