Hi all,
I'm planning to go on a two week holiday during the Christmas break in Yr 12 and I was wondering whether this is a good idea. I need to book tickets and get things finalised very soon, so all recommendations/comments are appreciated :)
Btw, I am aiming for a pretty high ATAR if that makes any difference...

Holidays are called holidays for a reason, you should have as much fun before hitting the books!

1000th post!

my plan in the holidays
3 hours study a day
990000000000000000000000000000000000 hours of battlefield 3 a day

Also, i agree with a spiral
Hope you have fun on your holiday

YES! Take the time off, kick off your shoes, and shut those books! You'll probably feel a million times more rejuvenated when you return to school, rather than those people who studied constantly throughout the holidays. Plus 2 weeks isn't all that much, considering it's like a 6 week break. n_n Enjoy the time off, it's the break before Term 4 (of year 12) that is really important!

Yes go enjoy yourself.
As other people have said it will do you good.

In my eyes every holidays you should at least have a few days to yourself, but all day everyday shouldn't be spent studying either eg. 1-4 hours a day and the rest being spent doing things you enjoy doing.

Take some time out, have fun and do moderate revision. Christmas break is a good time to learn topics beforehand, not sure if you're willing to though.

I went on holidays end of yr 11 (term 3) came back 2 weeks into term 4 (yr 12), made no difference, and I did basically no work in the Christmas holidays so you may as well use them.

I did zero work (school wise) during my Christmas holidays if that comforts you.
