Ok so i just wanted to know, those aiming for 90+ how do you study for your exams? and how much study would do before your test :)

I could really use some insight and so could the other board of study users too :)

It's different for everyone. Some study heaps; others do nothing but are naturally gifted.

Read my textbook in between walking to locations in games, then think about the simple multiplier theory, for example, when shooting bitches.

its a cliche but true: work smarter not harder

i.ei its not about the hours you do, its about how you spend those hours. 1 hour of 100% concentration> 5 hours of just sitting there.

This.

Plus working consistently. I know far too many people who cram it all in last minute, and don't get the results they desire. It's best to work throughout the entirety of the year (small bursts of study, regularly) rather than hard core cramming last minute before examinations. [Though I will admit, I still do the latter, force of habit; study more when the exam approaches.] Also I find being organised and prepared is very effective, getting concise study notes and material prepared in advanced to your exams decreases the stress as the exam approaches, as you can focus on revising rather than note taking.

It's best to work out what type of learner you are. Some learn from studying 4+ hours a day by reading + writing notes and summaries, others learn by creating visuals (those more right-sided of the brain), while others cannot concentrate for more than a short burst of time and thus must work at increasing that gradually.

Anyways best of luck. Best to trial out a few different techniques, and then work out which way you retain the more information effectively. Good luck. n_n

study ~ a week before a test
study ~ 3-4 weeks before exams writing notes ( but if notes prepared early then maybe 2 weeks before exam revising those notes and using external resources such as youtube vids to reinforce concepts, btw writing those notes also drills the info in your head)

lots of practise questions.. also for subjects such as business, i try to think about it in a real world situation..

so if I'm at work and my manager is being a dick and bossing people about, i think that's autocratic leadership and he's using coercive power.

also teaching others things that I know I'm good at, it helps them and reinforces it for me.

^ imo great technique that i use,

eg:

In biology;

the concept of diffusion can be thought of [when someone pisses in a pool, and the piss spreads until it evens out]

and from there you cn dtermine that the high concentration(piss) goes down the concentration gradient into low concentration(water).

Finish your dot points really early....

then just before the exam I study for 4 hours doing past papers. I studied for 6 hours from 3pm - 9pm for Chemistry. lol (breaks are necessary so that I can keep focusing on what I am studying)

Summary notes for dot points. Just copy and paste people's together but make sure you know them.
Past paper questions, usually from success one, or off the net.
Games the night before, to calm the brain.
Read over notes and questions in the morning. Don't answer the questions, just be sure you can think right and form an answer.

It's different for maths. I make notes on the criteria the teachers give us.
Do the past papers they give us.
Games night before.
Look over notes in the morning.

If you're studying that much, there's something wrong with your technique.

If you're needing to study 10 hours a day, you either don't pay attention in class or you're just retarded and forget everything instantly.
