Just curious here. I'm guessing it would be 95+/100?

They cap your mark at around 92 for this course to stop people capable of doing 4U etc dumbing down.

never is the raw mark requirement higher than 90 for a band 6 [well i'm pretty sure anyway]

for general its probably low to mid 80s is my guess

from my understanding there is no such thing as capping as has been confirmed by various other members of this forum.

The reason why there is an apparent 'cap' is because anyone capable of attaining a high mark in general is already doing 2u maths and higher. Thus, low 90s seems like a max mark but is in fact, not.

2U maths doesn't have much scaling --> like an 88 would get you a 90, that is the border.

General maths is ridiculously easy, most will get over 80% raw so for a band 6 you probably need to get 95+

HAHHAAHAHHAAHAAH

mate i got roughly 108/120 for 2 unit maths and got a 95 hsc mark

you DO NOT need 88 RAW to get 90 for 2 unit maths

do you want proof? http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php/254354-Raw-marks-2010!!

Newi japper got 94/120 which is 79% in 2 unit maths. This ALIGNED to a 90 HSC mark

so using the reason that something doesnt align well and so u need a high raw mark to get 90 is arriving at a hasty and incorrect conclusion
