What are the best textbooks for IPT? My teacher reckons that the ones available don't cover the entire syllabus, because the syllabus was apparently updated recently and that such books were written a few years ago, so there is none that cover the new syllabus. I somehow don't believe her.

The only one updated so far for the new syllabus is Sam Davis's one. However even that misses out on a number of points. You can probably do some of your own research for those.

i bought a leading edge book last year which covered the new syllabus (2009).

Yeah, it was alright. However, not very detailed in some sections.
