I don't think anyone was dumb enough to think there's more petrol... it's just a different grade.

There are benefits of running 95 in a normal car which can adapt to it though.

LanEvo 7 from Sydney to Wollongong. Max speed was 145km. It was early morning, around 8am. It was better than sex. :hammer: Try it!

If the engine's fuel injected it will adapt.

The only time it's not going to give any gains (and most probably hurt) is if you're feeding it through a carby. 98/100/101 octane doesn't atomise properly when it's sprayed, unless you have massive jets to begin with (talking aftermarket racing sort).

Re: What is the most powerful car you have driven + details of most memorable drag ba

going fast in a straight line isn't really that fun unless it's an outlandishly dangerous speed, and yeah, that is how you die. Like when my friend went to the top of second gear on his R6 while I was riding pillion. actually that was only fun once I got off the bike and was still alive. Much more satisfying nailing a sweeping corner at 60 than doing 150 on a straight road.

Agreed. Definitely better. In all honesty alot depends on experience and whatnot.. I still remember on my L's moving up from the 50km/h to the 60km/h... that was "hectic" at the time!

it's not just the speed, it's the sound, the car.
PS: Germany is the only country that has no speed limit on its autobahn (freeway). Gotta go there soon.

I think he was getting at the fact that 145 is very easy to hit in an Evo when overtaking without even realising it :) It's when you go past the JDM numbers that it is exciting (/dangerous).

Fastest car ever i've ever driven was my dads old R33 GTS25t, 345rwkw, GT35R, built motor etc. As for "drag battles" ......lets not get into that.

Aren't you from North Sydney? There's always some around the area... I've come to realise I see at least five or so Lambos a week in just my normal life (wedding cars presumably by the ribbons), a bunch of Ferraris and whatnot. That being said I do live/work in the city.
