I think that an online study group is a very good idea especially since most of your friends are doing a different subject or they are really busy.

If anyone is interested I'll gladly help you. Here's the subjects Im studying:

Maths Advance (2 units)
Maths Extension 1 (1 unit)
English Advance (2 units)
Chemistry (2 units)
Biology (2 units)
Physics (2 units)
Music 1 (2 units)

My worst ones are bio and chem but that doesn't mean I won't need help with other subjects. I am pretty good with all the others - if anyone is interested let me know.

Online study group? As in via MSN or some chat website?
Or just in this thread?

But hey, most of our subjects are the same except for music and biology. :)

What do you guys do in music? Play the flute, piano, guitar, etc?

Or study about the history, what happens in the piano, etc.

well maybe lets set up one in the holidays then?

after all it's whats needed

but you'd have to go to a suitable library

i suggest UNSW, state library or somewhere big and/or good

well in music we would do both....

a lot of the music 2 stuff i do is theoretical; that means the course content consists of the various musical periods, theoretical work (up to 2nd grade AMEB theory/musicianship). Furthermore it's compulsory to do composition and musicology + aural (means you gotta sing and stuff :p)
whilst the music 1 course has more practical work and the course is rather more flexible...

Music 1 is sooo easy that you only need about 1-2 hours of study before the exam and that is all.

Music 2 is much harder and it has more theory which is boring for me. Hehe I don't want a study group where we meet - just msn.

Please don't use UNSW. I don't get why high school students love using university libraries...

well it's big and consists of heaps of resources you know :L
Haha but the two reasons you'd want to use a uni library are printing & high speed wifi neither of which are available to non uni students. The only thing which I can think you guys would appreciate is the fact it's open later than most other libraries however non-students usually get kicked out at 10pm anyway? *shrugs*

Resource wise... I don't think even to this day, have I actually needed to refer to a library book in the uni library. Most of the good stuff is online (even through the uni intranet).

but then again if you had a friend of yours who went to the uni, you could ask for their user and password or you could get them to type it in for you :L

and being open till late is an awesome thing.... at maximum most libraries close at 8...
