I nearly quit today :)
Instead I spent fifteen minutes crying in my SM's office, and then another 15 minutes sniffling and having my SM calm me down through conversation.

I kinda... cracked under the pressure. My combined hours from Saturday/Sunday/Monday were 44 hours, and kind of a combination of life shit and stuff happening at work meant I ended up just losing it.

My poor SM. I love him, but he was sure I was a very emotionally restrained person. (Which most of the time, I am). Sigh.

liz!! you need to cut back your hours a bit!! or at least take some time off..
rest, relax and get the hell away from themmmmm! haha

Nah, after today work will get better.
One of my staff got a hiding, which he deserved, and now, for once, I will actually have a manager who supports me as her 2IC (and who doesn't just stand back and expect me to do everything.... especially when I'm still injured and - honestly - not getting much better)... following words that the SM and Fresh Food STM had with them.

ANYWAY. Let's move on.

Today I was shopping at Woolworths Riverwood. Does anyone work there????
Either one of their STMs or their SSM is RIDICULOUSLY hot. Like, oh my God, hot.
(He's SSM or STM, as he had a stripey shirt on, has been working in the store for quite some time - so he's not a specialist - and the SM is female)

Funny thing is, my SM and I had a brief conversation the other day, more or less saying that moving to Riverwood would be a 'step down' for me, as there's no bakery, and even if it did have one, it's a smaller store so I'd have to lose my salary or a significant portion of it.

Now yet another reason not to transfer there. Distractions distractions distractions.

All is right in the world, I earlier abused my SSO and 2IC for their crap rostering this week. So yesterday when I originally got called in, I pointed out that Mon/Tues were my two days off this week. They obviously didn't care coz I worked anyway. Except today it was an issue, they rang me today to say that they'd cut my 8 hour shift for tomorrow.
I don't think they quite expected me to be so assertive about it. :rolleyes:

I do this probably minimum once a fortnight. My SM actually joked yesterday that he hasn't seen me cry in a while and asked what was wrong with me.
(yes I am aware I'm a total retard, but no one freaks out about it anymore).

Hehe, gotta love a good work gossip story. They definitely seem to be the main oil to keep the cogs moving along at my store, and unfortunately I seem to feature in about a third of them :\
