Mate Slidy votes green anyway, Greens are likely to get a senate seat so his senate preference won't flow on and there aren't that many marginal seats in NSW anyway, this is just him rapping Rudd on the knuckles for betraying the trust.
what does this have to do with anything? lol

the chest beating of blastus, sebastion and scuba steve about civil liberties is what i was calling a nonsense. The outcry every time a government tries to bring in the slightest bit of regulation, claims of chinese communism if a government minister weighs in on bill hensons artwork. Ofcourse any limitations on freedom should be imposed reluctantly and only when the pragmatic outcomes are overwhelmingly positive but i didn't expect you to buy into the oratorical outrage about censorship, which has existed in australia for decades, being extended to the internet.

And i don't recall ever suggesting that the filter will actually stem the tide of child pornography and if i ever did consider it a bit of hyperbole used to make broader point. Personally i thought i admitted from the get go that it wouldn't work and merely suggested that its hardly more oppressive than trying to block the production and use of the ru486 drug amongst other things.

Prove it! Seriously. Prove that he does not exist in any way shape or form. Do not discriminate the Christian Jesus, Yahweh, The Greek's Hermes, the egyptian's Thoth, etc. etc.

By saying that he doesnt exist you are deniying him in every way, simultaneously in every religion.

I dont believe in him, but that DOES NOT MEAN that he does not exist!
you make a point but then you screw it up and contradict yourself.... fail ftw.

The bolded should read: "I do not believe in the words of Jesus, but that does not mean that Jesus didn't once walk the face of this earth and influence peoples."

Newspoll says 49-51. The last five polls have been 52-48, 56-44, 51-49, 54-46 and 49-51. I'd call this one a rogue but there is no real trend for it to be breaking from.

That poll is messed up. In the sense that Newspoll cocked up (or perhaps just had a severe statistical anomaly).

You can tell by a few things:
a) The other polls don't support it
b) It doesn't match previous Newspolls, even accounting for Rudd's cock-ups recently
c) The primary vote breakdown is really weird
d) It's too large a swing. Perhaps 51-49 Labour's way would be believable.

To quote Pollbludger: "Possum reports primary vote figures: ALP 35 (down eight), Liberal 38 (up one), Nationals 5 (up two), Greens 10 (steady), others 12 (up five). I’m more than ready to believe Labor would have suffered a solid hit in the period in question, but eight points seems a bit much, as does the huge hike in the others vote and the failure of the Greens to reap any ETS dividend."

Yeah the poll is rubbish I know I was just making the point that Newspoll hasn't really produced any recent patterns. What does that say about the state of affairs? That its May, nothing interesting has happened recently and Joe the plumber doesn't give a damn about politics right now.

On an unrelated matter something someone posted on Andrew Bolts blog that made me lol: 'All this proves about Malcolm Turnbull is what we all knew from the start. That he's even more disloyal, treacherous and self serving than we first thought.'

I hate myself for wanting the Coalition to win this election. A bunch of social conservatives and agrarian socialists.

Morgan says 50:50. Might be about time I say screw the polls and start going on instinct. I still expect an increased majority.
