I would work until I wanted kids, then stay at home until they went to school.

I love cleaning but I can't cook, so that's an issue we'd have to work around...

seriously, it's not fair to have women do all the housework; they should only do half.

their mothers should do the other half.

no, don't be silly. her mother can come over for an hour in the morning until the housework is done.

and also, it's unfair to expect women to do the housework when they come back from work.

they should do it in the morning before they leave.

Because being a caged bird with no real impact on the world is not what I want from life. I have too many goals and aspirations, plus I think men should play a greater role in raising children anyway, it shouldn't all be heaped on the woman.

I honestly just don't like the idea of having to rely on someone else for everything. I also agree with bio_nut, there are a so many things i'd like to do with my life and staying home and taking care of kids isnt one of them haha

Yeah I'd rather clean than cook most of the time

I like cooking, yeah, but I'm not that great at it and I just don't have the attention span for some dishes. Not really into the constant stirring and checking and adding and tasting and etc. Put food in pan/oven, leave for some time, come back, pull it out, eat. That's how cooking is when I do it.

How would you like to stay at home and clean all day? I'd be so bored i would go crazy, so would lots of people.
If you like the idea so much YOU marry a rich successful woman then stay at home to cook, clean and look after the kids.

Every wife in a way is a housewife, whether she spent the night there or day or both.. she's the mistress of that house.

I want to be a part-time house wife. Sitting all the time at home isn't an attractive idea, it makes the lady sick!
