Given the following information which of the gases is the most and least volatile ?

Argon = boiling point : -186.o degrees Celsius
Nitrogen = boiling point: -196.0 degrees Celsius
Oxygen = boiling point : -183.0 degrees Celsius
and can u plz explain y ? they r volatile etc.

Usually, the lower the boiling point, the more volatile a substance is - ie. it will convert more readily into a gaseous form

argon would be the least volatile because its chemically inert but thats not given in the question.....oxygen is the most volatile from memory and it has the highest boiling point but i wouldn't think that would have anything to do with iteDIT: or if it did, it would be the other way round

isn't volatile basically the same as catching fire?

EDIT: or is that flash point

Volatility is how readily something becomes a gas.

From most to least volatile:

Nitrogen, Argon, Oxygen
