How do u think i feel i go uws... lol transferrrrriiiinggggg to unsw asap!!! hahahahaha
Double standards are awesome, right?

I mean the average intellect of the students at UWS is massacred by those kids that do get accepted from the lowest shitpile scores. The law, medicine and advanced degrees are no doubt full of good kids. It's just those kinds of people (the super lazy kids) that give UWS a 'bad' name amongst other uni's.

I myself am planning to go to UWS since I really can't be fucked to travel for 2 or more hours a day just for university. That and apparently their courses in my desired degree are actually better than more 'prestigious' universities.

I was kidding, I talk like that sometimes even lol!! Its cultural accepting humour towards having people mock and stereotype!

yeah u might seem correct there about the massacred intelligence but if you havent noticed there are alot of em everywhere.. bach of arts ..most people can get into...but with courses in general...by the 3rd 4th yr the shitkickers get filtered out..

So are you measuring the general knowledge prior or 3/4 yr students (who r still there for a reason)??? Coz you should really take an insight to that critical point....the ones that can't keep to their studies and diligence just dont pass..

You could try to argue this point if you were comparing the drop out rates throughout uni's.... perhaps uws may have more....

The degree in Psychology (the non-arts department) I want is based in Bankstown. So I need to get my act together and get a car so I can drive there. Don't wanna spend ages on public transport. Might be able to con my mother into giving me some moneys. :D

I'm reluctant about attending UWS. Mainly because of earlier discussed kids that are absolutely terrible. I suppose the first few months I'll just have to put up with them. Apart from that, I really want to get out of high school. I'm just sick to death of it. The resources also sound nice. Tell me, if you're based in Bankstown can you still use other campus' libraries? Other than that, thanks for the confidence boost. ;)

I dunno about bankstown, but its not as bad as you would think, if you have a good timeable, mine all back to back no break, then im usually in and i get the fuck out after a seminar or head to library to study.. my seminars r like 3 hours...

Dont be discouraged by what kids say... perceptions will differ its not like they get up in your face lol.

See if you can do any of your units at penrith lol, they r diff at all campus, at penrith theres heaps of ozzy's, its more laid back... parra heaps of wogs, loud also but they dont get in your way, ur there to study not to socialise...its a diff mentality at uni, nobody has respect for that sort of person ur thinkin bout.

U can use any library u want n get books sent over to diff campus, also if u need 2nd hand books u can locate people in ur campus and uni and meet them to get books up to 70% off.. Textbook Exchange - Welcome to Australia's largest second hand textbook site

That's awesome. Thanks for the info. :)

What about your living arrangements? Do you live on campus, own place? I want to get my own place while I'm at uni because I need my own space. Any recommendations at all?

Sorry if I'm sponging too much info off of you at this hour. Haha.

Eh. Living with my family sucks. I live at St. Clair. Near St. Marys and Mt. Druitt and to a lesser extent, Penrith. The Penrith campus wouldn't be more than 20 minutes away from my house.

Oh well. We'll see how it turns out. I guess my mother's cooking will always be infinitely better than my own. :D I have to actually get into uni first. That'll be annoying enough as is.

-people who think they're better than others just because they're doing a course with a higher cutoff or going to a more "prestigious" uni.
