5. Boring senior subjects. (No Modern history or Geography)

Hey all. So here's my list...
I'm not attending the school at the moment, but I will next year.

Good stuff:
1. Senior School! No more pesky juniors rushing on the bus and stealing my seat.

2. 500+ Senior Students and nice teachers; meet a new person everyday, plenty of competition >=D

3. Everyone gets along. The social groups aren't too socially restricting / intimidating. Most of the students are really diligent and kind.

4. Range of subjects to offer, as there is a large student population. Lots of teachers in the same dept. so if you don't like your current teacher, you can change to another class of the same subject.

5. Student Lounge & a really, really good Library; Social studying area. Have access to lounge, fridge, lockers, sink, cafe. Popular place to study in frees. Usually a teacher from each dept., so if you're studying and you have questions, you can address them to the teacher.

Bad stuff:
1. Some people abuse the amount of freedom offered in the school and wag...

2. Very far; 1 bus and 2 trains for mee T__T

3. And.. No uniform! There's a dress code, but I like uniform, so that really sucks. That's all I got. =D

1. the lockers. the rocks. the stairwells
2. the shed in the back of the school ..
3. was only for 2years.
4. easy to jig - for me it was
5. no compulsory sport and there wasnt really any assignments

Dislike.
1. always had to say 'the best school in the best city in the world kinda shit..
2. tutorials/mentoring when i couldnt get out of it
3. the pedo teacher who though i was one of his girls from his dance class ftw!
4. the bell sound.. its music. but crap music - get updated man, dont know about now obviously but back then it was crap
5. the uphill area.

Sounds a bit like my school, but:
There is no good stuff towards my school. I only have dislikes about my school.

5 things I like;
*the campuses
*the small year group
*the fact that not many people strive for academic success (easier to get top marks) and helps you to stand out
*a lot of the teachers actually care about you and how your going
*- give this to an extra dislike: a lot of the teachers aren't enthusiastic about the subjects they teach; especially the science teachers-it makes it really hard to learn and remember things

5 things I dislike;
*sporting carnivals and public speaking are compulsory
*the principal thinks he's too good for the school and completely ignores anyone who doesn't play rugby
*the school only cares about rugby and cricket
*the school has it's favourites
*the canteen- food was yuk

All my likes are the same and basically dislikes too. I mean the whole sport thing is like what our school all about it gets a bit annoying!

Sydney Boys High
The good:
1. Sydney Girls high is next door
2. Nearly guaranteed high UAI
3. Saturday sport always fun
4. Only public school in Sydney with their own Rowing sheds
5. Decent canteen food
6. AIR CONDITIONED STUDENT STUDY CENTRE WOOOHOO. i.e. hangout place

The bad:
1. Cannot leave school grounds to dine at Fox Studios or this lovely sushi place on Cleveland Street
2. Small library
3. Mr. Dowdell, the mighty teleporting deputy principal, who caught me (and many others) jigging school on my way home. I WAS AT THE BLOODY TRAIN STATION WHEN HE CAUGHT ME. Who gets caught jigging at the train station?! He gave me afterschool detention
4. This certain classroom leaked badly whenever it rained
5. Shabby soccer pitches

The bad:
6. Only GPS school without a 1sts Rugby Team.

Thats was after my time mate.

And how many of those private schools do you think would have the guts to send out a 1st rugby team that loses many-tries-to-nil every game eh?

Likes
-teachers are relatively good, apparently our English and History faculties are excellent compared to other schools
-next to Westfield
-senior privileges are good
-senior uniform
-students are relatively excellent

Dislikes
-why does orchestra have to be before school :mad1:
-shit canteen (and it's privatised -.-)
-no accelerated courses besides music and SOME languages
-reward system sucks imo, even my primary school one's better, but then it's probably not that bad compared to other high schools
-slow computers/intranet website has been "under construction" forever

Pretty much what Grammar did last year lol.

I think Grammar were much better than my old school...

good stuff:
quite modern, good facilities ($11 million plus injection by the government)
partially selective
alot of motivated teachers
decent extra-curricular stuff seeing as how it's a public school.
very good principal, and deputy


bad stuff:
office ladies are dismal
quite a strict uniform policy for a public school
canteen is over-priced
in the middle of nowhere
seemingly monoculture due to selective stream

1. A lot of the teachers
2. Good facilities, vintage school, nice gardens
3. Close friends, plus generally the people
4. History and English faculty, best teachers <3


Bad:
1. Some friends - the ones in my group are so boring, and we have very little to nothing in common. If I want to hang out with other friends in my year they chuck a spaz and say 'but we're family'. Fuck off. I can't bear being around them and I'm not close to any of them. They suck the life out of me. I can't wait until this ends and I get to meet people in uni who are not overbearing and depress me for being so boring/contributing nothing to a friendship.
2. The annoying kids in the younger years
3. Stupid loud obnoxious bitches in my year who ruin everything for everyone, and end up having most things cancelled for our year/turns out shit. They have the intellect of a pebble and might as well drop out.
4. Toilets...disgusting.

Small library
Front office womenz be bitches sometimes.
Oh, and the fucking idiots who steal from IGA, resulting every student being banned from there (I hope they burn in hell)
