Summer holidays are the best.

I shall be watching a heap of movies at my friend's place coz she has a 42" LCD and a granny flat all to herself.

And about (and I'm not kidding) 500 DVDs

Chick Flicks:
Dirty Dancing
Juno
Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion
Clueless
He's Just Not That Into You
Mean Girls
Flashdance
Pretty Woman
Sleepless in Seattle
Marley and Me
The Notebook

The action/thriller (for whenever the guys randomly decide to join us)

Along Came A Spider
The Bank Job
8MM
The Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Wanted
Die Hard
Lethal Weapon
Nick of Time
Sleepers

Horror (because they like scaring the shit out of me)

Scream
I Know What You Did Last Summer
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
Nightmare on Elm Street
Freddy V. Jason
Halloween

The option d) "other" category
Cruel Intentions
Cruel Intentions 2
Cruel Intentions 3
Wild Things
The Lion King
American Pie
Veronica Mars The Castle
Wayne's World
Borat.
The Big Lebowski

Yes, my friends and I love our movies.

So far I have watched:
2012 (which was a huge waste of time)
Time Traveler's Wife
Star Wars episode I
Star Wars episode V
Clueless
Enchanted
101 Dalmatians
Anastasia
Wuthering Heights

I plan on seeing Where the Wild Things Are at the cinema along with Avatar, The Princess and the Frog and whatever else that comes out soon and doesn't look too bad. I really should be a bit more up to date with new movie releases...

And DVDs:
Star Wars marathon
LOTR marathon
Harry Potter marathon
Lost (not movies but whatever) marathon
Amelie
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Pocahontas
The Aristocats
Tarzan
The Lion King
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
A Bug's Life
Meet the Robinsons
Bourne Trilogy
Inkheart
Gone With the Wind
Breakfast at Tiffany's
It's a Wonderful Life
Mean Girls
10 Things I Hate About You
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Grease
And I'm totally going to watch all the seasons of a Bit of Fry and Laurie.

Untouchablecuz: Just becuase it's on my list to watch doesn't mean I haven't seen it.

And yeah, I've seen Shawshank but not Lebowski.

any good movies coming out in the november/december/january/february period?

apart from zombieland?
Where the Wild Things Are
Avatar
The Princess and the Frog

Those are the three I've been waiting for.

Alice in Wonderland comes out in March I think.

November has been disappointing this year. The really good movies usually come out just in time for the holidays, so December and January mostly.

Bah!
What's wrong with Where the Wild Things Are?

Paranormal Activity comes out on December 3rd (same day as Where the Wild Things Are). And Shutter Island comes out in February. Sherlock Holmes on Boxing Day.

EDIT: Sherlock Holmes and Shutter Island have also been added to my list of movies to see at the cinema.
