That figure is quite blatantly false. There are only about 300 million people in the US. You are honestly saying that 6 million of them leave Islam each year? I doubt there are even 30 million Muslims in the country. A 20% reconversion rate would be impossible.I would really love to see some evidence of this. I hear this all the time and have never once seen a shred of evidence.
oh and 6 million american muslims convert to christianity every year. =]
Unless of course there are close to or more people than that converting to Islam each year. Then it could make sense.
And Islam is most probably the fastest growing religion in the world. Exact number of adherents are never known for any religion (current estimates on Islam have a range of about a billion), but overall population growth by region is known with reasonable accuracy, and the predominant religion in most of the world's fastest growing region is Islam. It's also a reasonable assumption that the majority of children will inherit their parent's religion.
