There has been numerous online articles in the past warning that some ISPs will crack down on this kind of activity, emailing the ISP and/or the customer as a warning then restricting or blocking access all together. Apparently.

it's pretty popular that happening ... the company uploads the trackers or adds themselves to the trackers, and determine who download it and stuff ( i believe ... well that's what happens with some movie companies).

Btw, prototype = shit game. be thankful they saved ur bandwidth. lol

Stuff em

They won't dare lose a long lasting customer :). They barely have any with Telstra Bigpond owning most of the internet in Australia.

Call their bluff and raise it tenfold. Change your own DNS and IP address as well... you will be able to change your own within a range... they will just be onto the specific one and won't monitor those in the range of IP address.... there's too many for that XD

It's quite a shock to see the email though. haha.

That really sucks. Fuck I am really hating this "law" business. But yeh, change your IP and continue but be warned prototype is only any good till you finish it, then you never open it again.

But shit, that is scary, what happened to turnin' a blind eye...
