Yeah pretty sure I got somewhere around 2500. I thought that question was pretty easy compared to some of the others..

My maths teacher thinks it was the hardest test in years but I really didn't think it was that bad.
Not looking forward to extension 1 tomorrow though :p

that fucking time repayments question.... when we had to find n, i found n = 178 (or somethin like that), and then i was like "ohhh, 178 years wtf!!! that cant be right!" so i crossed it out and wrote 17.8 years WTF!!!
Yeah i got like 179 years.

The next question asked how much more it would cost...

I wrote "a lot of time" =p

yea i got this and my teacher got it... we went though it with him after.

overall i think the exam was easier than past years because of question 10, there was nothing difficult in that...
however i lost 1 mark after realising when we were going through the exam after with my teacher, with that isosceles triangle with drawing more triangles inside it... i dnt remember drawing any triangles as such, so i think i missed it, just overlooked it or somehting...
i estimate my mark to be 117-119/120
Exactly my thoughts. Q10 did not deserve to be q10, similar to q10a from last year's, should have been q8-9. The last triangle question was the only mark I didn't do, and so far the only mark lost - I know all my answers as I wrote them on the paper.

by question 6 (which went forever btw) i was still doing ok. then by the question 7 stage i had lost all hope, not only in maths, or my hsc, but in society in general, at one stage seriously thinking that "ill live outside of the system, and live from the land"

hahahaha lolololol

i think i'll be with you living from the land mate. FML epic fail:bomb:

i think everyone is being extremely paranoid. it wasn't that hard of a test, Q10 was simple, and sure, some questions in Q5,6,7, were random and difficult, but looking at the paper as a whole, it wasn't that bad. y'all just worrying about losing 5 measly marks and that just distorts the whole view of the whole paper. just chillax.

I think I'm going to end up with a raw mark of around 106-110, which I'm very disappointed about... but oh well - it's done and dusted + the other kids will drag me down since I didn't top internals.

Ext,1 tomorrow ^_^

I think the paper comes of as harder as a whole because of the fact that so many questions tied into each other and they all had practical applications. They weren't straightforward but you were applying your knowledge to that topic area... which there seems to be a massive emphasis on in this HSC '09.

I kind of liked the paper until I had troubles with one question which I now can do (just kinda forgot rules).

It was extremely difficult. I felt like chucking a sook, but I was too scared that I'd waste too much time doing so.

I can't even bear to look at maths now... and I have the 3unit exam tomorrow. FML. :bomb:

I thought the exam was really good, it wasn't so unpredicted, except the random triangle question ehehe, and maybe the last part of that cable question in 9. that was a woozie, otherwise everything else was straight forward and cool :) and question 10, i love how its always easier than 7-9. It jus makes u feel good that maths is over! but my joy is limited as i got 3unit tomoro :(

Well the mark means nothing atar-wise if you do 4-unit i guess. Hopefully the difficulty of 3-unit parallel's 2-unit.

Yeah, I do 3-unit. Considering the difficulty 120 will be needed in my opinion. I am out of that race now, down to 118 :(
