I'd prefer not to mention it but be logical a bit m8 and u will easily figure out the reason. If u, a domestic student who can borrow the tuition fee and do not have to pay (3-4% per annum) until ur earning reach 60000 (42000 taxable means u must earn at least 60-70000), still unhappy, how can an overseas one (in general), who pays >21k/year, no concession, 12-15k/year to exist (not to live), be?
Well I thought perhaps, maybe Macquarie is like a degree-factory and internationals come, do they degree, go, blindly overlooking issues.

I guess this is not the case, though.

Have any of you done PHIL134 and PHIL137? I LOVE how organised they are, and the lecturers (Jenny and Albert) are friendly etc...Wish everything could be like this.
I did Phil137 this year, def one of my favourites...

They make a pretty big deal about the reviews so I figure someone MUST read them..
I think they read them but they don't care all to much. I was filling out a PHYS one last year and our lecturer said he didn't care what we wrote because he's been there long enough that his jobs secure not matter what we say so the whole review we did was bascially a waste of time in reguards to how we thought he was teaching.

The way he said it didn't sound like he was joking not that me or my friends said anything bad about him anyway and most people in the class seemed to like him so he probably just wasn't worried that we'd say anything really bad about him.

Macquarie was at 67th in Oct,2005, then came Mr Schwartz in Feb,2006 and Macquarie came 82nd in Oct,2006, then it kept dropping from then, 168th in 2007, 182nd in 2008 and 189th in 2009. Interesting coincidence?

Correlation does not equal causation. But anyway, what were you saying...?

Anything to regard with a merely commercial ranking as the THES :music:? And MQ is more and more likely to be a degree-factory, IMAO.

THES's ranking is regarded as a shit one :drink:. U can give a Principal of 1 Uni in wherever some bucks to get a holiday in Oz and visit MQ and in his peer review sometimes MQ maybe better than Harvard (coz H hasn't given him a shit). And the International staff and students which 're 20%...Who cares about it?

"Top 200" in our context is to be 1 in 200 research universities ranked by Shanghai Jiaotong, a much well-regarded one comparing to THES's. The Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Economics Department have said that.

Just forget about rankings a bit or u on some bad day may notice in a ranking that ranked MQ, more or less, at 400 or 500 in the world (I know one and it's considered as rigorous as SHJT's one, even somewhat better).
uh, you make no sense..construct your sentences better because you appear incoherent.
